If July 4th were on a Saturday or Sunday, the company should not give the other employees a weekday off (although you can bet many would make it at least a three day weekend by being "sick" or taking a personal day). Do you get a different day off from the rest of the company if you don't work on Thursdays and it's Thanksgiving? Or Mondays and it's Memorial or Labor Day?
