If circumcision has more benefits than disadvantages why do so many people oppose it?

It doesn't have any benefits worth mentioning. It is a religiously based and barbaric rite that disfigures and causes damage to the sensitivity of the penis. the foreskin is built to protect the glans of the penis. The removal of the fore skin results in the surface of the glans becoming covered in scar tissue leading to a reduction in sensitivity and a reduction in the pleasure of sex. The only advantage in circumcision is that people with poor hygiene are less likely to to get infections under their dirty foreskin.

Well they're right. There are no reasons except forimediate medical problems and religious ones to perform circumcisions. I live in Sweden and here in Europe it's only done for those reasons. I've heard people say it's hard to clean but that is not true. Not harder then for us women. The foreskin is there for a reason which is to protect. It's not done as a routine anywhere in this world.
