I will not support losing weight by cutting down on calories. There are 3 ways by which you can burn your weight:
1) Doing cardio exercises: These exercise burn calories when you are doing them. No calories or fat burnt after you stop.
2) Strength training: They help in 2 ways. Building lean muscles that in turn burns calories and also burning the calories during and after your work out.
3) Reducing the calorie intake: This should be the last method. you have to ensure that you are taking proper carbs and fat in your diet and keeping a watch on the same.

You don't have to count your calories. To lose weight, you must slowly cut off very little at a time the amount of food you eat, since this way your body won't notice. If you take a diet, as soon as you get skinny and start eating regular food again you will regain all your fat.

Make slow and very small changes to how you eat every day. Your body won't notice and you won't be hungry. Stay away from junk food, fast foods, and any other bad food. Once you stay away from this for a while, you will find it to salty or to sugary. Don't make ridiculous changes, as some people say they will only eat cabbage soup, for example. They don't get enough vitamins and it leads to very dangerous illness. Tell yourself that your desserts will only be healthy foods, for example fruit salad instead of a chocolate sundae. Work out regularly. Exercise is important to stay healthy and live longer.
