The Bible teaches that God created 'mankind' to exist on earth forever. God had earlier created angels to exist in the heavens (in the spirit world with God.)

God placed the first humans in a little section called 'the garden of Eden'. It was a Paradise. (The Bible listed the boundaries.)

God's original purpose for mankind to live on earth forever has never changed.

Psalm 37:11 says that 'the meek' will have a different inheritance than the angels. It states: "The meek shall inherit the earth", not heaven. (Many other scriptures in the Bible confirms this.)

--BUT-since the first humans 'lost everlasting life on earth' for their future offspring - God arranged for his Son to come to earth, to 'purchase' us back (ransom us back) from the slavery to death which Adam sold us into.

Christ in turn would set up a special arrangement to bring things back to the original state, namely: Paradise 'on earth'. 2 Pet 3:13 stated that there will be "a new EARTH"; it continues: "in which righteousness dwells."

That 'special arrangement' is called: "The KINGDOM". The Kingdom is a special GOVERNMENT. A government by Christ.

As in any government: there are representatives 'from among the people' who serve with the ruler in his government. So God chooses SOME from AMONG MANKIND to rule with Jesus in his heavenly Kingdom. They function as 'kings' and 'priests' and even 'judges' with Christ.

Who will they rule over? Of whom will they serve as priests over? Who will they serve as judges for? An empty earth?; devoid of life? Hardly. That would be 'silliness'. They would be 'kings' over nothing.

That's why in Matt 6:9,10 we pray in the Lord's prayer: "Thy Kingdom COME." Notice we don't pray: "Can we come to thy Kingdom in heaven?" Instead we pray for the Kingdom to COME, and for God's will to be finally "DONE ON EARTH, just as it is in heaven."

So when you ask about 'a better place' - - well, the earth will be transformed into a new earth. That means it will be a much better place than what we've grown up with since the days of Adam.

If you happen to be curious, you can learn more about this everlasting future on earth from Jehovah's Witnesses. It seems like all other religions are planning on being in heaven instead of earth. Everything is always about 'Heaven / Heaven / Heaven. But by far, the majority of Jehovah's Witnesses have no desire for heaven. We do not teach our children about the need to get to heaven; and we don't carry that message in our house-to-house ministry either. So we will be pretty lonely here on earth with all the other religious people being elsewhere. We will be transforming the earth into a Paradise, and we need more help.

Also: BEWARE!!! Many people think Jehovah's Witnesses are deceivers; so be careful. Have your eyes open; don't be gullible. You'll need to decide.
