Strep is pretty contagious, so if you have been around someone with strep and then within days start getting a sore throat there is a good chance you now have it. I think alot of times we want to make a mental "check mark" next to each symptom of illness and if don't have all them we aren't sure we are truly sick. When we just need to realize everyone is different and our bodies all react differently to viruses and bacteria. So I would say if you have a sore throat and have recently been exposed to someone with strep I would get it checked out.
