I suspect they think you have leathery skin. Do you have really tan skin? Do you spend a lot of time in the sun or tanning bed? That is when people get skin that looks leathery.
Yes they do. Snake skin is NOT slimy, as some people think.

She wants some.
it is worth millions and MILLIONS OF $$$$$$! IF U HAVE SOME UR RICH!! (insane laughing)
A snake will shed it's skin when it reaches a certain time of the month, because it will become worn out from wear and tear from sliding around all the time. To shed it's skin, and snake will start to peel and eventually wiggle it's way out, leaving the empty casing of skin left behind.
btw stands for by the way...
A snake will shed. It may take longer for some than others. Normally it only takes 3 days after their eyes shed, but some could take a few weeks. Also, seeing as their skin is air-tight and encased, there is no way for it to become infected. If a tear is made in their old skin, their new skin will not become infected either unless you have it in conditions it should not be in.
Reddening of the skin.
A ready to shed snake will have very dull colors, and sometimes a blue, opaque look to its eyes due to a fluid accumulating between the layers of skin. Some snakes will also lose their appetite as they near shedding time.
YES ~ The word "snakeskin" refers to either the shed skin after moulting (shedding) or leather made from the hide of a dead skin. Yes they have a skin, but it is not quite the same as human skin. Their outer membrane is covered with scales (scutes) which protect, help in movement, retain moisture, and camouflage the snake.
Since she is part of a Myth, and the fact that there are a dozen of interpretations it depends. Some people say her skin matched the one of a snake, others say she had the softest skin in all of Greece. Hope this helped
