This works in Windows OS. If u select the file and just delete it then that file goes into "Recycle Bin" folder/ directory on your DESKTOP. If u select a file or folder and then "SHIFT + DELETE" it then It does not go into Recycle Bin and gets wiped away from your hard drive does not leave any traces. Actually, it does still leave traces but they are just a little harder to find. If you want to completely get rid of something you must by special drive cleaning software. Even if you format the drive there are still traces left on there. What the software does is it writes binary 1s over the whole drive so even if someone attempts to read it all they will see is 11111111111111111111111111111111111111111 . But that is only if you have stuff you really really don't want anyone to see.
