If there was NO sun at all, the world would be dark-- except for light from nearest stars and the moon. The earth would cool very, very fast. Weather fronts would continue, but with increased cold there would be more sleet, hail, and snow. Ice would form on anything (or anyone) exposed to the air. Ice sheets could advance from one area into another area, all over the world. Creeks and even shallow lakes could freeze, reducing the availability of water. Any power generated by solar panels would fail to produce any power. Wind turbines used to generate power would likely see stronger winds. In addition, the oceans would experience changes with higher water levels and no evaporation. Higher water could engulf low-lying coastal areas. Plants and trees would also die without light. Without green plants and trees to remove carbon dioxide, our world would have far less oxygen to breath-- and carbon dioxide in the air would rise. Since people need oxygen, and need plants to eat, humans would begin to suffer malnutrition, illness and death. Without green grasses or grown crops to eat, beef cattle would become ill and die-- so humans would have less meat as each animal species dies. The effects of a constantly darkened world would be catastrophic to plants, animals, and to humans.
