He certainly took his time! I would be scared that he would leave again, what evidence do you have that he is actually serious this time? You should have a ring by now. I would just only try to maintain a friendship at this particular time, because he says that he won't leave but who actually means that. He could hurt you again just like any other guys has in the past. I would give it a couple of months because if he still wanted to be with you, make hime wait. You don't have to rush into it to be serious about the person that you want to be with. Timing is everything! Let him wait for you, don't you wait on him. If he wants to be with you, tell him that you still need time. If he's what you want he might come back, but if you rush into it, its more likely that he will hurt u again. I hope I helped with this!
