It may not, it may:
it was hard to get around and transport goods. If you needed to transport goods back then you would of gotten a boat for a week or so then would of walked miles with these heavy goods. I hope this answers your question.
Then the wheel would collapse. Which would happen some time Before all the spokes had gone.
My guess would be wheel balance.
I would definitely say a couple miles! :) Perhaps, according to a PETCO worker who I asked, about two miles.
Assuming this is a front wheel drive, I would suspect the wheel hub/bearing assembly is bad. Have a trusted mechanic check it out before the wheel breaks off.
That would depend on which direction you are approaching from.
And what wheel would that be?
The over-all size of the tire and wheel would change the calibration of the speedometer/odometer.
I would suspect a tire out of balance. Can also be a bent wheel, or a tire with a defect. Have the tires rotated/balanced, and the wheel/tires inspected for damage.
I would use Armour All Wheel cleaner with shop cloths and soft bristled brush. Wash and rinse one wheel at a time and dry before going onto the next wheel.
Lands End to Alnwick (last place before Scotland) would be about 500 miles
