- Do not get yourself into trouble by second guessing your old friend just because they have not called you back. They may be an unreliable person that does not check their messages or they may have their phone shut off. Perhaps they are not well; depressed or they could be busy. You are old friends so go to your friends home and let your friend know you are worried about them and if they are OK. If they say they are fine then ask them why they did not return your calls.
