If you are using Birth Control pills they will keep you from getting pregnant until you are off of them but even if you didn't take them you would still be able to get pregnant they are just to help you have a regulated period Birth Controls pills are 99% effective in preventing pregnancy and should not be taken if pregnant, or trying to get pregnant. For other options it's best to consult your doctor.

∙ 14y agoThe only way to start becoming pregnant is if you stop taking birth control.Birth control may regulate your period, but it will also prevent you from becoming pregnant. If you are trying to become pregnant, you should go to your physician for guidance on how to do so.

∙ 11y agoYou can stop taking the pill an immediately start to try to get pregnant. The old recommendation to use a barrier method until the first period was due to the difficulty of guessing when you got pregnant; with modern ultrasound available, there's no need to delay trying to conceive.
