wHaT?!
We federated in 1901, we are still a federation so no end date yet and doesnt look like its happening for a while :-)
before Australia became a federation it was 6 british colonies
The Federation of Australia was the process by which the six separate British self-governing colonies of Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia, and Western Australia formed one nation. Australia would not be the same as before that. Australia became an independent nation on 1 January 1901. The British Parliament passed legislation allowing the six Australian colonies to govern in their own right as part of the Commonwealth of Australia. You know the abuse in the colonial territories has been.
It's hard to imagine in contemporary Australia, but prior to Federation each of the Australian colonies was more like its own country with customs houses, railway gauges and even their own military. It was neither natural nor inevitable that Australia would be federated, in fact it wasn't even a very popular idea. Only through the dedication and hard work of a small group of people did the colonies eventually come together to form a nation.

Federation is a way of government form. Federation started like this, Everyone was fighting over everything and people could not take it any more so they started federation a type of government stuff. They started making laws and stopping people from crime and all that stuff. It is also called Democracy for all federation types of people. Also federation has a government, a monarchy democracy local government, state government and Federal government, a dictator and a communist government. In America they have a president instead of a government if that makes clear.
Federation in Australia was never certain to happen. Some states wanted to have free trade and others wanted protection for their local manufacturers and producers. Federation meant that all the states could trade freely with each other. Also it was felt that the smaller states would not be able to protect themselves. From time to time there were scares like that the Russians would invade Australia if there was a war between Russia and Great Britain. The main centres of manufacture/production were in Melbourne and Sydney as well as most of the people with money to invest in new endeavors. While all the mainland colonies and Tasmania federated and became Australia, the colonies across the Tasman decided they would form their own country and became New Zealand.
Sir Henry Parkes was labelled the 'Father of Federation'. Also people like Edmund Barton, Alfred Deakin
Move on.
Australia is a federation like The USA, and is run along generally the same lines. However Australia is a monarchy run under a constitutional democracy. However we do no longer answer to the Queen of England and appoint our own Governor general.
it was a holiday for the criminals they found it fantastic for them but they didnt known they were gonna get exicuted
I think because of all the continents that moved away from australia, back in the day, the plants didnt evolve like some of the animals. thank you
