Hardly. Mac OS X has a very sophisticated way of handling processes, which allows the system and other programs to keep running even in the event of a software crash. In fact, almost every time a software crashes, the message following the crash reads "Mac OS X and other programs are not affected". This should be true for running Windows on virtualization as well.
You can install windows 7 on a MAC using Boot Camp. It is included on your OS X Leopard or Snow Leopard installation DVD.
Snow Leopard and Windows 7 are two completely different types of operating system. You cannot use software written for Mac OS X (Snow Leopard) on a computer using Windows 7 (or vice versa).
