If you're seeing a man for almost 7 years waiting for him to divorce so you can get married and he just defaults can you sue for breach of promise?

I am NOT an attorney. I do know that even where the breach of promise laws may still be on the books (many states have wiped them off the books) it is very rarely used, and when it is used it is not likely to be successful. I wouldn't put much hope in winning or even making such a case.
