∙ 14y agoThe rule of thumb is not to take any aspirin for atleast 48 hours after your Gastric Bypass or any surgery. However our patients are usually advised atleast 72 hours after a Gastric Bypass Procedure.

∙ 11y agoNormally yes, but possibly not if you took it within 30 minutes of anesthetization. (Also, you should always inform the nurse/doctor in charge of your care of your full medication list, including over-the-counter drugs and things you only take every so often. Especially prior to surgery. Informing them of what exactly you've taken means that they will not accidentally double-dose you on painkillers.)

What is the difference between ibuprofen lysine and ibuprofen?
I believe lysine means "salt" and is added to the Ibupofen, therefore enabling it to be absorbed by the body at a much faster rate. I use it for migraine relief as it seems to work much faster than any other remedy I have tried (and there have been quite a few). I am not a doctor - just giving my opinion :)
