It all depends on where you get your songs. If you have iTunes then if you dont have a plug in so u can plug in the iPod to the computer, get one. Then it should come up.... New Device, just name it, then it should start loading all your songs. Let me know if this helps or u need more instructions.

Connecting your iPod to a new computer and connecting to iTunes should not erase the songs.

Why when I try to sync music from itunes to my iPod from a new computer does it tell me all my music on my iPod will be erased?

because your ipod isn't authorized to the new computer. what i recommend doing is move all music to one computer with a flash drive and then when you delete the songs off of your ipod on the new computer, you will sink the same songs onto it. if that doesn't work, just move your songs onto the old computer. derpinfloogle

How do you put your old iPod music onto your new iPod?

If you have music backups of the old iPod in iTunes, you can easily sync the songs with the new iPod. If you don't have backups, you are also able to transfer purchased songs from the old iPod to iTunes using the "Transfer Purchases" function of iTunes. You won't be allowed to transfer the songs from the old iPod to computer or new iPod if the songs are not from iTunes. This is how to transfer music from old iPod to new iPod with the "Transfer Purchases" function of iTunes: Step 1. Plug the Old iPod into computer via the USB cable. Then launch iTunes. Step 2. Click "File > Device > Transfer Purchases". iTunes will automatically transfer the songs to iTunes library. Step 3. Plug the new iPod into computer. Then import the songs from iTunes to the new iPod.

You are buying new ipod will you still be able to plug it into your iTunes that Ive already got and put everthing in there back on to the new one?

Yes, if you buy a new iPod, you can still keep all of the music that you have saved on your iTunes, and then transfer it to your new iPod. The old iPod is simply a device to store the songs, and does not remove them from the computer.

Should a new ipod touch already have more than 200 songs loaded on it?

Add songs from an ipod to a new computer?

You can use an ipod to computer transfer program to help. I personally use this iPad/iPhone/iPod to Computer Transfer. It helps me to transfer my songs/videos/photos/playlists etc from ipod to my new computer directly and safely. It works well for me. Free download it at: ipodtocomputercopy. It even has step-by-step guide on the whole process.
