I am 11 and had vaginal discharge for maybe about a year now and it is clear and a little heavy so does this mean im going to have my period soon?

Not necessarily. I had discharge for about 2-2 and a half years before i got my period. And just because it is heavy doesn't necessarily mean your period is coming. Sometimes mine was heavy and sometimes it was light. Everyone is different so just make sure you are prepared in case it does happen. Welcome to the beginning stages of womanhood!! Trust me you will hate it! Lol sorry just telling the truth! Hoped this help!
