If you are CPR certified, the good samaritan laws still apply to you.
Added: Being "certifed" in First Aid or CPR does not make one legally liable.
The Good Samaritan laws apply to well intentioned civilians otherwise 'untrained' and uneducated in medical practice. They would not safeguard to a medical professional (e.g.: doctor - nurse - etc) who would remain professionally liable for their actions.

You should still help them. You are protected by the Good Samaritan Law.

As long as you have either your first aid cert or CPR cert you are always protected. The Good Samaritan law comes into effect when you are not certified at all and try to help someone and that person decides to sue you.

But, I carry a breathing barrier in my car, and I would perform CPR on someone if needed.

Many people who are NOT CPR certified have done CPR to those in need. The only reason you are required to update your CPR is for on the job reasons. JCAHO checks all empolyee's credentials at your local hospitals and clinics. Use your judgement. If your heart is willing to help someone who is need, by all means help them.
Are CPR classes the same as association CPR classes?
As long as the class is certified by the CPR association they should be the same. This is due to the training that is required to make the class certified.

If someone gives a person CPR in a company environment and something goes wrong and there is a lawsuit is the person giving the CPR held responsible or the company?
I believe that in cases such as this, the good samaritan law is in effect, and no one is liable.
