THC is absorbed in the body fatty tissues the amount of time it takes to have it out of your system depends on weight and how often and how much you smoke. It can take a month or longer to clear your system of it if you are a regular smoker.
Doctors advise pregnant women not to use any drugs because
they might harm the growing fetus. Although one animal study has
linked marijuana use to loss of the fetus very early in pregnancy,
two studies in humans found no association between marijuana
use and early pregnancy loss. More research is necessary to fully
understand the effects of marijuana use on pregnancy outcomes.
Some scientific studies have found that babies born to
women who used marijuana during their pregnancy display
altered responses to visual stimulation, increased tremors, and
a high-pitched cry, which may indicate problems with nervous
system development. During preschool and early school years,
marijuana-exposed children have been reported to have more
behavioral problems and difficulties with sustained attention
and memory than nonexposed children.
Researchers are not certain whether any effects of maternal
marijuana use during pregnancy persist as the child grows up;
however, because some parts of the brain continue to develop
into adolescence, it is also possible that certain kinds of problems will become evident as the child matures.
First of all people should do there research before giving others advice and No one should say a person shouldn't be asking this question because they have no business smoking in the first place, The only person who has the right to tell a woman what she should do when it comes to her body is herself and her doctor. Sorry one of the people that answered this really upset me because who are they, and what right do they have telling another what to do when it comes to their body.
I am pregnant and I smoked most of my pregnancy I discussed this with my O.B. and because of my medical issues it was considered a better option than the other medication they could give me instead. Now that I am this far along I decided to stop smoking it has been very hard with the other medical issues I have to deal with but back to the question.
When I quit I tested myself to see how long it would take at 3 weeks after I quit I still tested positive. At the 4th week It finally came back clean so for me it took the full 30 days but I also smoked everyday. I believe it depends on the individual. If your worried about the hospital contacting C.Y.S. I would at least make sure u quit 6 to 8 weeks before your due date, You never know you could have the baby early.
Metabolic system ... up to 6 months depending on your body fat reserves, metabolic rate, amount and quality you smoked, how often, etc.. Usually average person can pass a urine test after 1-2 weeks( rear smoker) , 3-4 weeks (2-4 times per week smoker) , 4 and up weeks (daily smoker). For over weight or high grade you may need to double this time. Since the thc stay in the body fats you can speed up detoxification by some type ofdaily physical activity, proper body hydration and fats burning diet . Plus home drug testing. When hair grows everything you ingest get trapped inside the hair strand, so .. is there until you cut it out.
