Benadryl is a good start -- BUT -- a constricted throat may be a likely indication of an allergic reaction which, with bees, can be fatal. This means head for the hospital fast, just in case. Ditto!! I'm allergic and any swelling around your mouth, throat, lips, tongue, and/or face are serious signs of fluid building up in the tissues. It only takes a few minutes for your lungs to begin to fill, and after that breathing becomes all but impossible.

If you have any questions, please do as recommended above! Go to the Emergency Room and make sure someone goes with you! It is impossible to explain what happened to a nurse, with your lungs full of liquid.

Swollen lymph node in neck after eating After eating sometimes the lymph node on the left side of my throat will swell. I just ate a grape all fruit popscicle and now it is swollen. Why?

You could have an allergic reaction to some substances found in fruit like I am. I just had a BAD allergic reaction to strawberries, blueberries, cranberries, pomegranates, and now peaches. Every time I eat them the left side of my neck, just where my jaw and neck meet up at almost, swells up and hurts. Then come the itching hands, then feet, then face, then I break out in hives all over. I never used to be allergic to fruit but now I am. Check with an allergist to see if you are allergic to any fruits. The more you keep eating foods that you are allergic to the worse your symptoms will progress like mine did. Now I have to carry around an epi-pen and benadryl just in case I eat anything that is bad for me.
