u need to learn the full split before doing this and always stretch. do complete back bend bend knee and kick off and straighten bent knee.
It could be because you are not stretched properly. Try doing a bar stretch first.
I am a cheerleader/tumbler and have strained my back many times. I feel the best way to help ease the pain is by doing something called a back bend. That is when you stand up tall with your feet shoulder width apart and lean back with your arms up and arch your back to stretch it out.
They need to talk to somebody? They might just be doing that when you're not there because they may be either shy or embarressed around you (your blushing, so am I<3)
