It's safer to assume they're just staring & don't actually have powers.
First of all, witchcraft doesn't exist in the fact that someone CANNOT put a spell on another person. Witchcraft is impossible to do, let alone master. Therefore, there are not signs that someone has put a spell on another person, because witchcraft and spells do not exist.
She admits in order to avoid further punishment, and telling Salem what they want to hear. She believes that by taking the bullet for Abigail and her friends, she is going a good thing and is the first person in Salem to confess to witchcraft. -R.S.
Witchcraft is a spiritual path, therefore your question is inaccurate. It would be like asking, "How can you tell a person uses Christianity". Practicing witchcraft is a whole life experience, much like any other spiritual path. It includes but is not exclusive to, meditation, study, social interaction, worship, spell craft, Ritual, rites of passage, ethical living, as well as the use or not (by personal choice) of magic.
It depends on the faith of the person using it. In witchcraft, it is called a poppet.
They (he or she) have to confess that they where doing witchcraft.
Religious tolerance forbids foisting a religion upon a person practicing another faith.
Nathaniel Hawthorne was embarrassed about his ancestors because some of them were involved in the Salem witch trials, which he felt reflected poorly on his family's legacy. This embarrassment likely influenced his exploration of guilt, shame, and sin in his writing.
Well first off there is a difference between the two. Witchcraft is first and foremost a religion. Sorcery, like wizardry is the art of practicing magick. Through magick both witches and sorcerers try to change the outcome of any event by manipulating time, space, and nature. Unlike the witch though, a sorcerer can be of any religion. They can be a christian, a Jew, or a Muslim, and so on. A witch on the other hand can only be a witch if witchcraft is their religion.
Staring is to stare at a person, place, or thing. Starring is to star, as in a play, show, or film.
It depends on the type of witchcraft you are referring to. There are so many different types of Witchcraft. A Witchcraft book is not necessorily evil. A book cannot be evil. It depends on how you are going to use the Witchcraft in that book. You cannot say a knife is evil or a Gun is evil The person who is holding the knife or gun could be evil or could be good. It depends on the intentions of the person who is using it. If you use the knowledge for good it is good. If you use that knoeledge for bad, that is evil.
