Once you are no longer a maniac your time will go up to every 5 minutes instead of every 3 minutes (or to 4 mins 30 seconds from 2 mins 30 seconds)
You will however still 'keep' any of the extra energy you have already built up as a Maniac - it'll just take longer to regenerate.
