The thermostat might be stuck, therefore not opening at the proper temperature to allow coolant flow through the engine block. This is a very common problem. Also there might be a coolant leak due to faulty hoses, heater core, or blown head gasket, causing the coolant level to be low.
Change your thermostat.
Check that the coolant fans are still working, then check out the water pump.
Have you had the rad. checked ?
water pump
Try replacing the thermostat.
Sell It!!!!!
Only until it overheats.
fan clutch?
it is probably your water pump
It could be coming from the water pump, or from the bottom radiator hose. If it is the water pump, change it before the engine overheats. If the engine in any GM product overheats, you will likely be installing a new one or rebuilding the old.
The water pump for an s-10 engine is located on the front of the motor. The engine can be damages if it overheats due to a bad pump.
check your fan clutch if its weak it will overheat
