Raoul-could give a woman comfort and beautiful home, a place to live and money.

Phantom-could give a woman romance, 200ft underground under the Paris Opera House. No money or comfort. If a woman wants to have a child, not place to be raising a child.

Christine thought it over and she chosen Raoul.

How do you write themes for novel phantom of the opera?

The theme of the novel Phantom of the Opera is Beauty and the Beast. Phantom had a beautiful voice both speaking and singing, but outwardly he looked like a dead corpse. His soul was corrupted from all pain he endured for his appearance, been various freak shows for pennies, now living several cellars below an Opera House. Christine was beautiful outwardly and inwardly, she loved him despite his appearance and she had even kissed him to show he was loved. She was willingly marry to him, so he would not be lonely. Raoul although physically handsome, was jeolous of the Phantom, he even asked her, "If he was a handsome man, Christine, would you still love me?" Raoul was a childhood friend to Christine. She did not want Raoul to die under Phantom's cruelty that she was willingly sacrifice herself to stay with the Phantom. She kissed the Phantom. Once kissed, the Phantom realizes in how wrong he was to keep Christine as his prisoner. He could not offer Christine a proper life. He was dying. He sets her and Raoul free.

Are Raoul and the Phantom of the Opera enemies?

If you have ever seen the movie then you might think that. Even I thought that when I first saw the movie. But it turns out that both of them are just two foolish men looking for a lovely woman. Now I don't think the Phantom had any reason to get so upset with Raoul. After all, it is Christine's choice. So I would say no that they are not "technically" enemies but in your own opinion you could consider them to be.

How Christine daae sacrifice?

Christine Daae's sacrifice was her love. In the movie, the Phantom ties Raoul to the gate and put's the lasso around his neck, and forces Christine to choose between him and Raoul. If Christine chose the Phantom, they would be married and Raoul would remain alive. If Christine chose Raoul, the Phantom would kill Raoul. Christine chose Erik and kissed him, Erik feeling such emotion rise let's Daae go free, including Raoul. They leave Erik and he smashes all the mirrors. He leaves through a tunnel behind one of them. In the book, Christine must turn the Scorpion Casket to be married and let everyone live. If she didn't turn it in two minutes, he'd turn the Grasshopper Casket and the whole Opera with everyone inside would explode, including most of Paris. Raoul talks to her through the wall, he tells her not to turn the casket. But before Erik could turn the Grasshopper, she turns the Scorpion Casket to save Raoul. The casket released water that flooded the tunnel with the barrels of gunpowder in it, smothering it so it wouldn't explode. Raoul and the Persian man nearly drown. The Persian man tells to Erik, reminding him that he saved him years ago from execution. Erik retrieves the men, and when he wakes up, Raoul is asleep on the couch and Christine is sent to fetch a hot drink. The next part was confusing... Erik took Raoul and chained him a dungeon (From what I gather.) and Christine kisses Erik. Erik comes to the Persian man and doesn't make sense, he keeps saying Christine kissed him. (I'm going to assume when she did, he freed Christine and Raoul. And they left.) Erik is announced dead a few weeks later, his love for her killed him.

The Phantom had a two way mirror to speak to Christine, so she would think she was talking to the Angel of Music. When the Phantom crashed the mirrors toward end of the Andrew Lloyd Webber's version of the story, he did not want to be reminded of his hideous face and loss to Christine to Raoul.

well there is a few...though the one I was thinking about is who will Christine chose. Say if Christine chose Raoul, how would Erik feel? Now if she chose Erik, well knowing Raoul he would do something like Erik doing something.. hope that helped!♥
