No, such is not possible. If the president committed a crime, he would be impeached and convicted and lose his office. Then he would not be president anymore and could not pardon anybody. He could then be indicted and tried just like anyone else.

This is going to inspire partisan answers, but let's look at it objectively. The question could be asking you to assess Barack Obama's personality, or to assess his policies. In the case of his personality, he has become like a celebrity for many people-- and that is NOT unusual. Many presidents, both Republicans (President Reagan comes to mind) and Democrats (President Clinton, as well as President Obama) have been treated by the media like celebrities. So, would you like to be a famous person like Barack Obama? The good news is you will be widely admired by your supporters. The bad news is that every move you make will be subjected to endless debate, praise, blame, scrutiny, and critique. The question could also ask whether you would want to be a "first"-- Barack Obama is the first black president in the US, so that is another reason the media and many in the public pay more attention to him. Would you want that kind of attention? And finally, the question could be asking whether you would want to be the kind of person Barack Obama is-- his detractors and opponents would say no, because they don't like his policies and they think he is arrogant. But his supporters would say President Bush was just as arrogant, and they would also say Barack Obama is a good example of a family man, a good father and a good husband. So the answer to this question really depends on whether you are a supporter or whether you are a detractor. And finally, if you are asking the person on Answers.com who is responding to the question (in this case, me), I would not want to be like President Obama, and not because I think he is evil or dangerous (I do not), but because I think he has the kind of job that only a small number of people can handle. I'm not sure I'd be able to do it. He is much calmer than I am about crisis, and he is much more patient than I would be about some of the political aspects to the job. (The same could be said about some other presidents too-- it takes a very special skill-set to be president, and few of us have it.) I am sure other folks have an opinion about this question, but that's mine.

It would depend on the President. It would also depend on how the president was chosen and how long his term lasted. A good president would be good and a bad president would be terrible.
