If you will delete a partition, it will not be merged with c insted, you will loose all the data on that partition, and that space will remain as unpartitioned space on hard disk and you will not be able to use it until you re partition that space and format it.
So if you want to merge both c: and d: than my advice is either you delete both partitions and create a new merged one or (If you Don't want to get into that mess or you don't know how to do it) You can use softwares which merge partitions like partition magic etc.

You might be looking for a partition resizer. That will allow you to change the size of either partition. I'd backup the data on both before you do though, just in case.
c: is that partition of ur harddisk from where ur system boots and d drive is any other partition.
hello to all of you how to make a partition? firstly go in CONTROL PANNEL secondly choose COMPUTER MANAGEMENT tab from CONTROL PANNEL menu then a dialogue box will appear of COMPUTER MANAGEMENT from list choose STORAGE option and then click on DISK MANAGEMENT in the same dialogue box you will see the devise partition C D E F if you have only 2 or 3 partition you can make a partition by right clicking on the empty drive box and a new box will appear choose new logical gate tab by this you can also delete the partition just right click on the partition the dialogue box will appear and click delete tab you will delete or make a partition by your own desire
You can not disable a partition in Windows 98 but you can remove it(everything on the partition will be lost if not saved beforehand on a cdr-rw or another hard drive). Boot up with a windows 98 floppy with th Operating System on it and the the Fdisk.exe file on it. At the "A" prompt, type "fdisk" and press enter. When the fdisk screen pops up, first be sure which partition you want to delete (D,E etc)so you don't delete the partition with your operating system on it (the "C" drive). Once you have determined which partition is to be deleted, follow the onscreen instructions to remove the correct one. When finished, close out the program and reboot the system and the partition should be gone.
A: is the first floppy drive and is seldom in use today. C: is most often the first master hard drive partition. D: is most commonly the CD Rom in a system with a single hard drive partition.
There is no utilities with windows which can help, but there are plenty from other companies, such as Acronis Disk editor, Partition Magic and so on.
Yes they did.....they will soon merge names as well.

What have you done to remove this low disk space problem? In my experiences, the ways for you to resolve this low disk space problem could be different according to your different conditions:* If there is too unnecessary files or programs stored on this C partition, clean them all up to free some free space.* If there is enough free space on other partition, like D, E or F partitions, you can open Disk Management, delete or shrink the partition with free space and add the free space to your C partition there.* If the free space is not adjacent to your C partition, you also can use a partition resizing tool to extend this partition, like GParted, IM-Magic Partition Resizer Free and Active Partition Master, etc.* But, if there is no any free space left on the same physical drive, just buy a larger one to replace the old one.No matter what your conditions are, just save all partition data on other places in case of data loss.Read more information here:partition-magic-server-2003.blogspot.com/2013/11/resize-server-2003-partition-free.html
You can increase your D drive space from your C drive by typing in this command "em>partition" on your start menu. From there you will need to go under admin tools and select to extend your space.
First you must understand the term of disjoint sets. This is when both sets have no elements in common.Ex: A={2,3,4} B={1,5,9}. Since A has no similar numbers in B and likewise, they are disjoint.A is a partition of a finite or infinite collection of nonempty sets G= {A,B,C,D...},Iff:1) A is in the union of all {A,B,C,D...}2) The sets A,B,C,D...are all mutually disjoint (no overlapping of elements)So in other words, A=/B=/C=/D=/... ---(=/ is 'does not equal')---i.e. (A intersect B) = {} ---- ({} is an empty set)---
