That's a really poor plan. Drinking more than you need won't bring any benefits, rather the opposite. Eating only once a day is likely to mess with your metabolism and making you prone to overeating because you'll be so hungry before you allow yourself that one meal. A far better plan is to eat 3 balanced meals and 2 healthy snacks evenly spaced throughout the day. That'll keep your metabolism going and your energy levels up. Not being absolutely starving when it's time to have a meal will also make it easier to avoid overeating.
It is important to eat in the morning because your platlets in your blood will be set up to give you a heart attack if you don't eat. Your body will lose more weight if you eat small amounts several times per day. If you only eat once per day then your body will think it is starving to death and will store fat.
