The "Adam's Apple" refers to the larynx or "Voice Box" in the front of your throat. In adolescence, the larynx grows larger and more prominent in males. It should be easily felt as you draw your fingers down the front of your neck from the chin, and you should be able to feel it vibrate or resonate when you speak or sing.
It should appear directly in the midline (center) of your neck, and will be more prominent in thin or lanky boys. A boy's voice will change as he grows older, becoming deeper, with a few stops and starts along the way. Boys who sing regularly, such as those in a choir, will find this change more smooth, whereas boys who tend to do a lot of shouting or athletics, may experience the classic "cracked" voice as the body adapts to the changes.

The size of the Adams apple isn't directly related to the depth of your voice. (If it is at all) my voice is deeper than 98% of white males but I have a smaller Adams apple than most people. If you're over 16 it probly won't get much deeper. But it is possibe that it will. It varries from person to person.
