Well, I know two ways you can do this...
1.) If you have not put an administrative password on your BIOS then you can start your computer and after post press F8. That will bring up your OS Menu as I call it. When the Options screen appears start your computer up in Safe Mode and log on to the Administrators Account, There you can change the password. After you have changed the password log off and restart your computer.
2.) Find someone that has a Winternals disk. For on that disk is a tool called locksmith. With this tool you can change any Administrative password on any Windows platform anytime. (Very Dangerous Disk to have!!!)
In Microsoft Windows, the Administrator password usually refers to the password of the Local Administrator account. The Local Administrator is a built-in user object to every instance of Windows, the default name being simply Administrator. The account name is almost always changed by Group Policy, but the convention remains to refer to the account's password as simply the "Administrator password". Strictly speaking, and Administrator password could be a password associated with any user account that has administrator privileges on a given system. You will sometimes here the term associated with web or cloud based applications. But usually, the term "Administrator password" is most closely associated with Microsoft Windows.
A Windows password is a password that a user or a Network Administrator sets for its users for security purposes and to only allowed authorized users to access a resource. In simple networks a "windows password" can refer to the Administrator password.
Default administrator password of windows vista is blank. That means write administrator in Username field and leave password field blank and hit Enter you .will able to log in to your computer. But if you forget you administrator password which you set earlier then use windows vista password recovery software to reset it.
If you lost windows password, you can go into safe mode (F8 when booting up) to recover windows password while you forgot user account password, but if you forgot administrator password, there is no way to change administrator password while you forgot it,you must use software to recover administrator password.my favorite is Windows Password Recovery 9.0.
As far as I know, You can reset windows user account password in safe mode(F8 when booting up). But if you forgot administrator password, you must reinstall windows OS or use the "Windows Password Seeker".
By default, there is no password set for the hidden administrator account on Windows XP. When setting up this account and enabling it, the user must create their own password.
Usually there is a hidden administrator account on windows xp. Try logging with username Administrator without a password. If whoever installed you Windows was smart enough to put a password on it, or you are working with the administrator account then try calling a technician.
Only if they have your password.
If you are trying to reset windows 7 password which is not associated with the administrator account you can in fact reset that password as long as you have your administrator password. The only way to reset your administrator password if you cannot remember it on Windows 7 is to either purchase a password recovery software program or reinstall Windows 7 with your recovery disk. You can get more information from Toshiba Official Website.
If you can't log into Windows with your administrator, try logging in in safe mode and changing the password first.
Windows does not store passwords in plaintext. They are stored in an encrypted / hashed format. This means that once you have entered the password, you cannot display the actual text. The only way to determine what the password was is if the password was insecure and you matched it a known hash for a given password. Suggest you now do as following: 1. Try No Password Administrator Login Backdoor- In Windows XP there is built in administrator user account that has administrator credentials, enabled by default and without any password to protect the account from been access. If you didn't change the administrator's password, then try to sign in to Windows XP without password. 2. Reset password from another user account with administrator credentials. If you are unable to find your lost password from the above listed methods then you might want to buy password recovery software.
You are asked for the password to the Administrator account.
