Many possible causes, but here are some ideas in the order I would check:
- The flat octopus type distributor caps a notorious on these things for causing this type of problem
- Plugged exhaust or catalytic converter.
- bad coil
- Bad plugs
- Plugged air cleaner or (I saw this) a plastic bag got sucked up into the air intake in the fender.
- Plugged fuel filter.
- Bad coil wire, or the plug wires could have internal damage from being mishandled.
