Short Answer: Probably, yes. Long Answer: The problem is that when you use a low calorie diet, your body adapts to it and lowers your metabolism to compensate. Very soon, you find you must stay at the 850 a day level, in order to simply maintain your weight. (Weight loss stops!)

If you now increase your daily calorie consumption, then because of your lowered metabolism, you will start to gain fat. For many dieters, they find that they quickly return to their previous (overweight) fat level - and even wind up HEAVIER than before they started their low calorie diet!

The safest way for you to increase your eating WITHOUT gaining fat, is to use "calorie shifting".

it is not recommended to do so;the way to do it is start with taking 1200 calories, and then start decreasing the amount of calories gradually.
