If you had a miscarriage a month and a day ago could a positive pregnancy test still be picking the chemical that detects that you're pregnant or could you really be pregnant?

There are three possibilities: 1. The miscarriage you had has not been completely removed from the body. Did you have a D&C? This procedure scrapes all pregnancy tissue from the body. Sometimes the body doesn't rid itself of this tissue and continues to believe you are pregnant (which is why a test would be positive). 2. It is possible that you have become pregnant again without a period. A period follows ovulation when the egg is not fertilised. Therefore you could've possibly fallen pregnant on the first ovulation. 3. The third possibility is that you were carrying twins when you miscarried. If this was the case, some people find they miscarry one twin, but keep the other. The only way to know for sure is with an ultrasound. You need to have your doctor have a look to see if there is a baby there or not, and if there is, what gestation age is it?

∙ 18y agoIt sounds as though you may be pregnant again. Check again in a week or so becasue the hormones should have gone after 6 weeks.

∙ 14y agoI would say you are pregnant again. It is easier ro get pregnant right after a miscarriage. I would go see a doctor to confirm the pregnancy as soon as possible
