If you hang out with someone but are too shy to say much to them what should you do?

If you are comfortable enough to hang around them slowly try to integrate yourself into conversations. I realize it sounds easier said then done as you are shy but if they are hanging around you they seem to enjoy your company and like being around you - let your guard down slowly, you have nothing to lose.

∙ 15y agoThis happens to a lot of us, and I think what happens is that we get ahead of ourselves. The trick is to take it in small steps. Get together for a common activity -- sports, see a movie with a group of common friends, go to the beach, whatever.
Don't even try to talk to the person. Just have a good time.
The next time the two of you are together, you can say something like "good game last week, huh?" Again, don't push this. Each interaction between you builds on what's happened before.
