Applicants are admitted on the basis of academic achievements and personal qualities and accomplishments, so those scores could get you into Pepperdine University provided you also excel in your personal qualities and accomplishments.

College admissions are a lot more complicated than you seem to think. There may be a magic number below which Princeton admissions says "Nah, try Yale," but if so they're keeping it pretty close to the vest. (In fact, their website specifically says they don't have a cutoff.)The best we can do is tell you that, of the students that TOOK the SAT, no applicants with a composite score of below 1500 were admitted (one wonders if any were foolish enough to apply... but then, by definition 1500 kind of means you're not the sharpest tool in the shed), and only 0.2% of applicants with scores between 1500 and 1700 were admitted. 2200 would put you at about the "middle of the road" as far as admissions go (and still only about 10% of applicants with scores in this range were admitted).Note that these are the critical reading/math/writing composites.
