If we assume the same battery chemistry and quality, and the same drain, then the D cell will last longer than the AAA cell, as the bigger size means it'll hold a bigger amount of energy.

Does AA batteries last longer than AAA batteries?

The main difference between a AAA and a D battery is the size. With the size, you can put more charge holding materials, such as Lithium-Ion, Ni-Cad, etc. They both have the same voltage output, but the D battery can hold more charge. Since electronic devices "pull" charge from the batteries, the D battery will last longer comparitively to a AAA battery in a similar device. This is why you see AAA batteries used in small devices, that have low current draw, and D batteries are used in items that require more power, such as boom boxes, and such.

What is the difference between the sizes of battery - AAA AA C D?

The larger batteries are able to produce more current, and will last longer before they die.

Are AAA batteries stronger or D batteries stronger?

With the same load current the AA will last longer that the AAA. This is due to the physical size of the cells. A C cell will last longer that a AA and a D cell will last longer that a C cell. In dry cells as the cells get larger the amp/hours increase.

Is there a book about the 460th AAA Aw Bn?

If there is I want to know about it. My father served in Battery D, 460th AAA. I do have a written history of the unit declassified in 1958 in my possession.

How many volts in a c?

A "C" battery has a 1.5 Volts same with AAA, AA, and D batteries.

What is the most commonly used type of battery for example AA AAA D etc.?

Just recently watched a video on batteries. Apparently, the `D' battery is the most used, followed by the `AA'.

What voltage must the battery supply?

depends on the kind of battery. a regular battery (aa,aaa,d,c) should supply 1.5 volts. a car battery should supply 12 volts

What size battery use an average flashlight?

The popular battery type are AA, 18650, AAA, 14500, CR123A, etc.

Will a D-cell battery last as long as an A-cell battery?

No. The sizes of the batteries give indication as to how much current they can produce at that voltage.Another Answer:There is no A-cell battery. There are AA batteries packaged in a D shell. If you avoid those, a normal D-cell will deliver a lot more energy than an AA-cell, so connected to the same device/load it will last longer.

How long DOES a d battery can last?

200 minutes

Different types of batteries and their differences?

when it comes to batteries there no real difference. AAA, AA, C and D batteries all have the same voltage, they just have different wattage. so, the smaller the battery, the less watts it has, and the less energy output. There is also differences in batteries based on the technology of the battery ie. NiMH, Alkaline, etc...and there are also differences, while slight, between brands.

What is 6 AAA batteries?

. There is an AA battery (technically it is a cell, not a battery) that is part of the series D, C, AA, AAA, AAAA. There are holders which hold 6 AA cells in series, creating a nominal voltage of 6 x 1.5 equals 9 volts, but with much more capacity and current capability then a nine volt battery.
