If you have a rug that is 8 feet X 8 Feet square and in the center of the rug is the last glass of water in the world You can not walk on the rug and have nothing to grab ahold of the glass of water?

The glass of water is at the center. That is from the sides of the rug, it is at a distance of approx 4 feet. Since one cannot walk on the rug, we can lie down on the rug with our feet away from the rug. For a person of average height, the distance from the palm of one's hand to the knee is more than 4 feet and thus lying on one's stomach on the rug with the feet away from the rug, it is possible to reach that "last glass of water".
