Typically, your teeth remain in their present positions because of something called 'equilibrium'. That means that all the forces acting on the teeth are equal in all directions. When something changes, such as the loss of a tooth, the equilibrium is lost, and the teeth will sometimes shift or change position until equilibrium is re-established.

Sometimes the shift in the remaining teeth will be minor, almost unnoticeable. In some cases the shift can be quite dramatic, even shocking, and other teeth can be lost due to the change.

If you lose a tooth, your dentist can recommend treatments that can compensate for the lost tooth to prevent the changes that can adversely affect the rest of the mouth.

Do you have to have your wisdom teeth pulled if your mouth is big enough to fit them?

You do not necessarily have to have your wisdom teeth pulled if your mouth is big enough to fit them. In some cases, the teeth will be fine but in other cases they will grow in a manner that causes damage to your bite or causes the bite to become misaligned.

Do need antibiotic for a pulled tooth?

Not necessarily. It depends on your health status and how complicated the extraction is (i.e. surgical extraction of a wisdom tooth). Usually your body is able to heal itself and if you keep your mouth clean and follow the dentists instructions you should not have any complications after an extraction. Do you need to have your wisdom teeth removed if there is enough space in your mouth for them to come in?

Before I had braces on, it was suggested that I have my wisdom teeth removed, so I did. It could however depend on the individuals teeth, mine were quite crowded or as they call it impacted. You'll be glad you got braces, good for you. Very often, if wisdom teeth have no room to erupt, it is recommended to extract them following an orthodontic treatment.
