Just talked to someone at a jail about this. Was told you can't bring in hardly anything. Not even extra underware or socks, only the ones you are wearing upon entry.(so wear two pair of socks) You can check in with money that will be put on your "books" as they call it. It can be used to buy things you need from commisary. (Jail supply store) Family or friends can bring you a few things like your Bible, more money, glasses and prescription medications, but this is a very short list. It bites.
Yes, up to 30 days
30 people go to jail because of drugs
If it is your first offense, you probably won't have to go to jail other than the night you were cited. After your first offense the chance of jail time goes up dramatically.
Lizzy McGuire did go to jail for 90 days for a lot of mistakes.
it depends on what they did
30 years
Something will probably happen but maybe jail is not that likely.
They will get 15 to 30 days in jail, or 1 year on probation.
In many states anymore, mandatory jail sentencing. If this is your pre-trial conference, go get a lawyer right now. There is a big difference unfortunately with what they can get for you. This may be the differences between 3 days or 30 days. 30 days is NOT an exaggeration either. Quit driving drunk anyhow!
The penalties for DWI in Texas are 3-180 days minimum jail, an up to $2000 fine and a 90-365 day suspension of the drivers license on the first offense. On the second offense this is 30 days to 1 year minimum jail, up to $4000 fine and a 180 days to 2 year suspension. On the third offense the jail time is raised to 2 year and the fine up to $10.000.
No, none of the members of Three Days grace went to jail. However, Adam Gontier did go to rehab in 2005 for drugs (specifically pain killers).
