You need to enter BIOS setup, let it detect the new memory configuration, and then save it. The second boot cycle should be correct.

check the memory clock speed. if the 128mb has 100MHz and the 64mb has 133MHz then they will not work together.

You have probably not inserted the memory module correctly. Remove it and attempt to reinstall it. Try switching the memory module's locations. If the same module fails in both slots, it is likely defective.

Will adding a memory card increase the speed of the computer?

It depends on your definition of memory card and speed of computer. If you are asking about a removable storage card, then the answer is "no." If you are asking about increasing the physical RAM inside the computer, the answer is "probably," but there may be other factors involved in your particular computer. If you are using a Windows computer with less than 3GB of RAM, then adding RAM almost certainly will make it appear that things are running faster.

If your computer is using eighty-eight percent of available memory what will happen if you open enough programs to use what's left?

Your PC is near maxed out - if you add more programs you are likely to experience freezes and crashes, adding more memory would cover more programs if added.

What two ways can a computer be upgraded?

Some computers cannot be upgraded! But two common upgrades are buying memory(RAM) or getting a better processor.REMEMBER: Don't just go to your local hardware store and buy the first new processor/memory you see, you must check if it is compatible with your motherboard and any other hardware or OS's you have!

Adding Memory To Your Computer?

If you feel that your computer is not running the way that is should, it may be due to a memory problem. All computers run on memory and the more you store on your device, the more memory space is taken up. By adding a module, like the pc2 3200, you will find that your computer begins to run more efficiently and effectively than before. This device allows your computer to run at faster speeds without excess power usage. If you are currently having trouble with your computer, try installing a pc2 3200 onto it. This particular module is compatible with most computers on the market.
