I'm assuming you mean PCOS. The weight can worsen the infertility issues but doesn't cause them, so it depends on how far your PCOS has progressed. The infertility comes both from hormone issues and because the ovaries become riddled with cysts from failed attempts to ovulate. So if the weight is worsening unstable hormones, losing weight can help. If your ovaries are completely cyst-ridden and block any egg from leaving the ovary, then you'll also likely need medication or a procedure. There's a laser procedure that can remove cysts and therefore assist with fertility. You really should talk to your OB-GYN about this. If yours laughs and calls PCOS a rare disorder, find a new one. 5-10% of women have it; it just doesn't progress to the same degree or in the same way in everyone who has it. I know studies were being run eight years ago to help women with PCOS conceive. I wasn't part of my clinic's study, but I do have the condition.

Losing weight can definitely help, especially if it also includes eating a diet high in fiber and low in refined carbohydrates. Women who suffer from PCOS have many option of treatment and a natural approach can be very effective.
