Sometimes spotting (pink discharge) and mild cramping are signs of implantation of the fertilized egg in the uterus. However, you may be ovulating and experiencing mittelschmerz (middle of the month pain or ovulation pain). Spotting can sometimes occur with ovulation. If you continue to experience spotting and pain, see your physician.

Pink or brow discharge is known as spotting - it can occur leading up to menstruation or a very light period may just show as a few days of spotting. Yes, you can be spotting and be pregnant. It is called implantation bleeding. It usually occurs about 8-9 days after ovulation, which is around the time of your period. If you definitively know that you are pregnant, then spotting when you know that you are pregnant is also normal. As the cell mass grows, then it can break tiny blood vessels and cause spotting. Getting pregnant is only a 25% chance. While it is true that on average one only has a 25% chance of being pregnant, this means in any given cycle. Your chances are quite good that you are pregnant if you had sex on your first day of ovulation, and your spotting is a good indicator that you have implanted. The chances are extremely high. But don't just have intercourse on your ovulation days, continue having intercourse several days after ovulation for a higher chance of falling pregnant because the egg is continuing its way down the tube. I suggest having sex a few days before and after you ovulate. It pretty much doubles your chances of getting pregnant! Very high. even days before. Extremely high. Ovulation is the day the egg is released, which dies within 24-48 (1-2 days) if not fertilized. The egg can only become fertilized in the fallopian tubes. the only problem with this is most people don't know how long it takes for sperm to reach the egg. The chances of getting pregnant by having sex around the day you ovulate is 60% in any one cycle. 99%
Spotting does not always mean you are pregnant. Many women spot during ovulation (releasing an egg) as well. Ovulation normally occurs around 2 weeks after your last period. Also, it could just be because you have old blood left over from your last period that is coming out now
I am not a doctor, but this happened to me. I started spotting only 7 days past ovulation and when I called my fertility clinic at 10 days past ovulation, they advised me to start progesterone, which led me to believe I still had a chance to be pregnant. I continued to spot for days 10 and 11. However, 12 days past ovulation (two days after starting progesterone) my period came. Although I think it's still possible to be pregnant with spotting and starting progesterone that late, if the spotting is related to your uterus lining breaking down, it is unlikely. I have a history of starting my period early despite having good progesterone levels, but if you do not have this history, it's possible your spotting is implantation spotting.
