Well, I'm only 5'2" and about 96 lbs and i just popped three bars. I've done six bars in one night before and didn't die/feel crappy/wreck a car/etc. Depends on your tolerance I suppose. When i first started, I always took one bar and was cool. My first time on two just made me sooooo sleepy and out of it. plus, you can't remember anything the next day.
4 Pills. .5 multiplied by 4 = 2. Get it?...
Yes, you can. It does however not equal taking 1 (one) 1.0 mg Xanax XR or any alprazolam er medication.
Yes; doses above 5 mg can be prescribed. Do not take a dose larger than prescribed, or while taking other depressants (such as alcohol).

No you do not want to take two depressant medications together.
No you do not want to take two medications that make you drowsy at the same time.
I'm not a medical professional, but I have taken Ativan and hydrocodone together many times as they were prescribed to me. My psychiatrist prescribed the Ativan to me and knew I was taking hydrocodone for recent surgeries. I rarely take the two at the same time, but when I have in the past the most I ever took was 20mg of the hydrocodone with 2mg of Ativan. Hope this helps!
Yes, it is a recommended combination for patients suffering from panic disorder. Ativan is also used when you start taking an anti-depressant, to counter the side-effects at the start of the treatment. Ativan is highly addictive. Regular use over 2 weeks can cause physical and psychological addiction, modifying GABA benzodiazepine receptors in the brain. Even if your doctor advices you to take benzodiazepines on a daily basis - longer than two weeks, you should consider the outcome, which is an addiction problem.
Yes, it definitely ok to take ativan before a cortisone shot. My neurosurgeon prescribed me 2 x 1mg ativan to take before my cortisione shot in my spine. No danger at all. All it will do is relax you but don't drive after, you have to be accompanied by someone and driven home in case it hits you a little more than you thought it would.
A person should not mix Ativan and Xanax. This is because the two drugs work with the body in the same way and could cause an overdose.
Can ativan .5 ng and Morin 200 mg be mixed
Disclaimer: I am not a pharmacist or medical doctor. Please check with one of these before taking my word for this, just to be safe. This is based on my personal experience and subsequent discussions with my doctor.Sure, you can take them together, as long as you are taking no more than the prescribed doses of each. You probably will not want to, though. Ativan and Ambien bind competitively to the same receptors, with Ativan having a higher affinity. In other words, the Ativan will overpower the Ambien. You will get little to no effect from the Ambien. You might as well be flushing the Ambien down the toilet (though please don't do that, take unwanted drugs to your local pharmacy for safe disposal).Ativan is digested relatively quickly, so if you plan to take Ambien for sleep, you could probably get away with a noon or even afternoon dose of Ativan that day, if you take daytime doses, but you may have to experiment a bit to figure out what works for you.
The two can usually be taken together, but side effects such as drowsiness and difficult concentrating can be intensified. Check with your doctor to make sure that the two drugs are a good combination for you.
Ativan is in the same family as Valium. They are both Benzodiazepines. Ativan is about 10 times stronger in terms of DOSE than Valium. They are two different chemicals but have similar effects. Some make you sleepier, and some work more at anxiety. I think Ativan is better than Valium at reducing anxiety but Valium makes you sleepier. But they are both similar so you probably won't notice the difference.
I had to take ativan sporadically during my pregnancy for a severe anxiety disorder. My doctor specialized in pregnant women and those sorts of medications and he said while it says on the pill bottle its harmful, after 20 or 30 yrs of study is has proved to be harmless in small to moderate amounts during pregnancy. (I.E not high doses every day) My baby was born healthy.
Benzodiazepines are the best anxiety medications, ie. Valium, Ativan, Klonopin, Xanax. However, if it is for a child, antihistamines seem to work best. Benadryl and Gravol are two examples.
