no. cats will inbreed. you should get one or both fixed. they make better pets that way anyway. especially males. you don't really want him spraying in or arround your house. The best time to get them fixed is arround 6 months old.
It would depend on how far apart the litters were born. If they were born fairly close together, it might be okay. Otherwise, no. The younger kittens could not handle the roughhousing the older kittens are used to.
Yes, the parents do not fight. Also, If you let them keep their litter, they will not produce another litter until the current litter has grown up.
a cat will have around 5 or 6 kittens in a litter most of the time. my cat has 3 kittens right now. the world record of most kittens in a litter is 12 but that is very unlikely. Some cats like my friends have up to 9 or 10 Although cats usally have up to 5 or 6 kittens at a time they can keep having more litters like my old cat is dead now but she had 6 litters of 6 kittens thats 36 in her lifetime.
yes but the 2nd female has to be a sister or same family member or a Friend you have to have a male for a dad for the litter pups.
It isn't necessary to keep any kittens from the litter. While vets do recommend having more than one cat, it does not need to be one of your cat's kittens. Once the kitten is weaned, it is ready to be adopted out. A cat will also never miss "motherhood" so don't feel bad about spaying your cat.
It's a good idea, to keep down odor. You wouldn't like to 'go' in a toilet that is never flushed regularly, so why wouldn't we clean litter boxes at least every 1 to 2 days.
If you have five out of ten male kittens the best thing to do is separate the males from eachother, especially as they get older. Keep them away from female sisters, or they might do unexpected things.
Answer:Many male cats will not kill kittens. This is in fact uncommon behaviour. It is far more common for a male cat to accept the kittens, or at the very worst give them a wide birth.Answer:Male cats feel jealous because his mate (the mother cat) is spending more time with the kittens so to be the star again he gets rid of the kittens.Answer:Some males will kill kittens that are not his, so that the female will come into heat again and he can father a litter, thereby passing on his own genes. They can do but not if you keep them SAFE when there growing up. My male cat was fine with our kittens and they were not his.
Bring your cat into your house while she's pregnant and keep her in there until she gives birth and the kittens grow up.
If you spay your cat, you are making sure your cat doesn't have kittens. If you want kittens to sell or give away to people, or just keep at home, then don't spay your female cat. Birth is a very exciting thing, and you'll have mini-copies of your cat running around the house! :) If you want kittens, make sure not to spay your cat. But females can only get spayed. When boy kitties can't have kittens, they are neutered. It takes a male and a female cat to have kittens. But when there are kittens, make sure the male stays away, maybe in the other part of the house, or in a big dog excercise pen, or somewhere where he can't get to the kittens. Or he'll kill them to be with his mate, the female cat. Good luck with your kittens!
Responsible breeders usually give their breeding Queens a year's rest after having a litter. Pregnancy and nursing kittens until they are 12 - 14 weeks old puts great strain on the mother. A year ensures the Queen fully recovers and remains in optimum health and overall condition; it is very dangerous to let a tired or unhealthy female cat produce a litter. Depending on the health of the cat, and how often she is allowed to breed, the risk of losing both mother and kittens due to complications can be high. If you are not a breeder, or you think you cannot keep your female cat inside and away from intact male cats for an entire year, it is highly recommended that you spay her as soon as possible.
If you have 2 boxers and 2 Bengals, they can both mate as long as you have one male boxer, and one female boxer, and one female Bengal and one male Bengal, that are not related to one another. You can keep their puppies and kittens and raise them yourself, however it is a lot of work to take care of puppies and kittens. There are also many puppies and kittens looking for homes so its not really a good idea to breed your pets.
