Ok. He lied to you. Its what he does. He lies to potential girlfriends.
Perhaps the most important thing in any relationship is trust. He started really badly. Cheating on his wife and lying to you.
Sadly long experience indicates that people continue as they started. Its hard, but probably the best thing you can do is to cut your losses, move on.
Find another guy you really like who isn't married.
