If you mod an Xbox 360 to make it region free can you switch the hard drive out to another 360 and still go online without getting banned?

I believe so. The 20 gig hard drive is only for memory. So it is the Xbox 360 itself that gets banned. Bans go by the serial number for the disk and/or your URL address.
If you got banned, you'll need to buy a new copy of the game they caught you cheating on.
