If the filling was particularly deep and got close to the nerve, it can be sensitive for several weeks, sometimes even several months. The key is to determine if there is any improvement over time. (including a TINY amount of Mercury) they do seem to attract cold, hot, sweet etc. Depending on the amount of work done, the weird sensations may last a while. If they last a long time, do, as said above, contact you dentist
