if you were to restart your computer while downloading or uploading a torrent it would stop temporarily while windows shut down but then resume after start-up. this will happen automatically as long as you have your torrent program set to start on windows start up (this is the default setting). otherwise file sharing will resume as soon as you run your torrent program.

first open the documents and settings and user and app data there u find the u torrent data with all previous downloads . copy the information to any drive men ex : if u have given c for downloading the file with pc 1 change it to any another drive that pc 2 have it men if pc one is downloading to c:/new folder you should copy the new folder and paste it to pc 2 c:/ new folder . and in another system install the u torrent and go the place as mentioned above and paste it replace all the files then restart pc then you open the short cut and you will find all the information(if not it asks for install again no problem do install but the resume works ) of previous pc torrent now resume the file before that you have to change the location of the file incomplete file copy that to pc 2 now you finds some x with 60 % complete now. just resume it. i works for sure by doing the same . hope u understand ...
well you have to go back to the menu. then go to whatever you do to resume what you're playing only you don't hit resume. it is supposed to say restart,resume,quit. at least that is what it said on my Xbox.

if you are using a torrent program then yes, you can pause the download and resume it later, but if your just using an internet browser ( internet explorer, Chrome, Firefox) you cant. you will just have to find the link to download it again, and download it.
