Why do you have to be a Supervisor to join Vandal Patrol?
You have to be a supervisor to join the Vandal Patrol because regular contributors cannot warn or expunge vandals - they can only report them. Since regular contributors do not have the power to warn a user for inappropriate behavior on WikiAnswers, only Supervisors can join the Vandal Patrol.
What is the difference between a Vandal Patrol Generalist and a Site Investigator?
The Vandal Patrol Generalist is a supervisor that wishes to participate on a casual basis without assigned tasks. They can choose at any time to volunteer for an assignment, or to upgrade to a position within any of the three divisions of the Vandal Patrol. The Site Investigators specialize in searching for things and correcting answers and questions containing vandalism and incorrect information. They also look for, and correct, answers that have profanity or cyberbullying, etc. They also search for vandals in the act of committing an act of vandalism.
